What to expect when using homeopathy

 Intake and disclosure forms

Patient Health History, Disclosure & Consent and Tele-Health Consent forms should be completed prior to your first appointment. I prefer to review patient history prior to Initial Evaluation to make the best use of both of our time.

What does a homeopathic appointment look like?

Appointments can be in person, phone or video. I will introduce Homeopathy and how it works along with what to expect for treatment. I will recommend homeopathic remedies for you, based on your health history, your current symptoms, chronic symptoms, and your family health history. I will provide you with remedies that day with instructions (cost of remedies is included), schedule your next appointment for 4-5 weeks later and explain what to expect from those remedies (whether you may feel detox symptoms, relief right away, etc.).

We will schedule a quick phone check-in call (10 minutes) about a week after you begin the remedies which is included in the cost of the intake appointment. This is when I assess whether the remedies are a good match for you to start with based on your first response, and whether you may need to increase potency or potency before the first month follow up appointment. We may need to check in (10 minute call for feedback) again in the first month, before your follow up appointment. If so, then this additional call/s are included in your intake fee.

Homeopathy experience

Typically you will experience changes after taking your homeopathic remedy. Some patients experience a period of exceptional well being and optimism other people will experience symptoms appearing to worsen for a short time before they improve. Both results are a good sign that the remedy is taking effect. Sometimes a cold, rash or some form of discharge may appear as a detoxifying effect which means your system is going through a cleaning stage. Similarly, old symptoms can reappear, usually for a short period. These symptoms will pass, and must not be treated, as they are a very important part of the healing process. Some patients do not notice any changes at all in the beginning of their treatment. In this case a change in the dosage and or selection of remedy may be necessary.

If there is any response to treatment that is of concerns, email or call stating your concerns. Document any changes so that you can discus them at your next appointment. Remedies can work p to 30 days, yet some last for only a few hours….all this depends on your body which makes homeopathy very individualized. Sometimes symptoms may get worse before they get better. Healing with Homeopathy is layered. You may even notice suppressed symptoms from when you were young coming back. A person who took medication for Asthma when they were young may experience asthmatic symptoms again when using Homeopathy. This is only a temporary state because your immune system is being strengthened and trying to detox or heal. If your symptoms return or you don’t feel anything at all, it is not that the remedy didn’t work, but a signal that you need to take another dose, a higher potency, detox from radiation poisoning or take another remedy altogether. Depending on how long a person has been suppressing sickness with pharmaceutical medicine, how many vaccines they have had, their genetic predispositions it may take two appointments or years to get them feeling 100%.  The good news is that with each remedy their body is moving in the direction or regeneration instead of degeneration.

Homeopathic detoxification

Homeopathic Detox Therapy is a method of Detoxing using Homeopathic Remedies which is based on Ton Jansen’s work out of the Netherlands. Ton Jansen founded the International School for Homeopathy HDT and has work with HDT for approximately 40 years. The aim is to detoxify, balance and restore the body to good health and strengthen the immune system from the inside out.

Possible Antidotes to Homeopathic Remedies

  1. Try not to touch the remedy with your fingers. Using a clean spoon or the cap of the remedy bottle is often the easiest way to dispense a remedy. Never put a remedy in a previously used container of any kind unless the container has been sterilized or boiled.

  2. Do not put pellets back into the remedy bottle if they should fall out onto the floor or your clothing. If you think a remedy bottle has been cancelled, have it replaced.

  3. Do not eat or drink anything 15 minutes before or after taking a homeopathic remedy so that your mouth is free from taste.

  4. Some people are sensitive to peppermint, caffeine and caffeine products, camphor products, Ben-Gay, Blistex, Carmex, Vicks, Icy-Hot may cancel the remedy, if you are concerned text or call, it will be ok.

  5. Do not use cannabis, recreational drugs or alcohol it may alter the action of the remedy and you may need to adjust the dose.

  6. Mental/emotional shocks and dental work may require acute remedies, then resume chronic treatment.

Diet and homeopathic detoxification

When detoxing the best advise is to listen to your body. For example, eat when you feel hungry, sleep when you need rest and drink plenty of water. It is possible to experience discomfort when detoxifying, this is common because the body is healing itself from the inside out. If experiencing a headache or an upset stomach avoid taking over the counter medications that may cancel the remedy. This would be a good time to email or call so that you can be assured you are on the right path.
